We are ready, the dogs are not…

If you are interested in seeing video of Galveston Island and surrounding area, got to www.cnn.com. There is some accurate video showing that homes are already being destroyed. The island is almost completely flooded.

We are much further inland. If flooding occurs here, we’ve got bigger problems. We are prepared. The dogs are not. They clearly don’t realise the gravity, as they are sleeping blissfully. I wish I had as little care.

Here is the current projected path as of 9:00AM:

The darkest center that encompasses Houston is showing 75+ MPH sustained winds. So, we’re going to get a bit of a breeze.

The current local radar conditions are nice and calm:

My Home is GPS located at the X in the center of the maroon circles. The first circle is 10 miles, then 20 and then 50 miles.

The weather guy just said that hurricanes enter land where the pressure is the lowest, and right now West end of Galveston Island has the lowest pressure in the cone of uncertainty. This makes the scientists believe that this is where the eye will be coming into land.

We are not in a flood zone nor have we ever flooded. I am not really worried, we’ll just have to see.

We are safe. We have a generator, it’s been run and tested by papa. We’ve a full tank of gas in it, that’s about 12 or 13 hours of keeping food cool and fans for people.

We have all of the important essentials, Bread, Milk & Diet Pepsi.

Don’t worry, I will not do something exceedingly silly while trying to get youse guys killer video. I may be crazy, but I’m not stupid. I think.
