And the mood is: Most Decidedly Very Unhappy!

The “kids” are in a state. The aquarium is in unrest. There is a hullabaloo.

I bought some new fish yesterday to my take. My general problem with my tank is that there is a HUGE guppy baby population. So much so that I’ve had to do some population reduction, something I don’t like.

So I added the following:

Nonetheless, the Tetra’s have come out on top in the pecking order. They are the most aggressive right now, followed by the Female Beta.

It’s safe to say that NO ONE is happy in this tank. And the new fish are doing their jobs, the 3 bitty fish that were in the tank are now missing in action. I know it seems heartless, but I just don’t have enough friends with aquariums for this. I should never have gotten those female guppies. *sigh*

And I also added chemicals because my one Molly has some nasty white spots that look like pimples. So I’ve got some copper-markasite and some antibiotics for a bacterial infection just to be safe.

Now I’m watching and waiting. The pecking order will work itself out. I’ll just have to wait.

I did not get to go to the quilt show. I ended up calling her when she was 1/2 hour late to meet me to go to the quilt show. She ended up getting sick in the night and forgetting to call me. I’m very disappointed, as I was really looking forward to it. However, since several of my plans to go fell through. So, there must have been a reason why I wasn’t meant to go there. I came home, read and took a nap.

Such is life…

guppy’s food for thought for the other fish….my brother in law used to keep fish was horrified one night when the female guppy gave birth only to watch the other fish including a guppy have a feast of fresh protien so he got rid of the femail and kept the two males only for one to change sex in order ..etc    oh well thats life in nature

sorry about those fish…sounds like what happens with the deer population around here…why they permit hunting season, I guess…
hope the chemicals work and your fish get healthy again…

Who would have thought there’d be such a drama in the aquarium!  I can see a new series "As the FishBowl Turns" perhaps…I know I’m making light of it but this is my philosophy that sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.  I spent all day recording music…not my favorite thing at all and worse there’s several days this week that will require more of the same…Ugh!  Keeping looking for that light at the end of the tunnel and pray it ain’t a freight train coming your way LOL!

Hope the peckin’ order in the tank works itself soon and to your satisfaction.  I’m also disappointed you didn’t get to go to the quilt show.  I was really looking forward to pics.  Have a good evening.  Hugs
