No self control…

When it comes to Bacon, I have no self control. Seriously, you fix up a pound and put it in front of me and I’ll eat the whole thing. I LOVE it… the taste, the smell, the everything…

Consequently, we have BLT’s or scrambled eggs and bacon about once a week. I like both, tho I say that the BLT is my favorite. Tonight was Scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. A good dinner, if I do say so myself.

I just exhausted myself. *phew* The wood cart was empty, so I had to go get another load to before I could add to the fire. Papa mentioned that his back hurt so bad last night that it woke him up. So, that means it’s my turn. He never says anything about hurting, so if he does it’s gotta be bad.

No worries, I just slipped on my Velcro sandals and hauled the little wagon we have for just such things. The hardest work is throwing logs into it. Nonetheless… it’s cool out and once again I’m in shorts, so I want to make this a quick business so I can get back in the house by the fire. Hence, my huff and puff.

Haven’t been very hungry the last couple of days. Just not feeling up to snuff. It’s mostly my neck bothering me. It’s been just about unbearable. I always wait to take the pain pill until I just can’t stand it any more. By the time I get to that state, I’ve just lost all my apatite. That’s ok, because I spend my lunch hour curled up on my office floor, back against the back wall, underneath a fleece blanket resting. I don’t nap… I just rest. I find it wholly invigorating and refreshes me for the rest of the afternoon. AND takes pressure off my neck.

I’m off… no time to dally… there’s only a couple of hours before I go to bed and I need to get my scrabble fix!

I have neck pain too; bone spurs and arthritis in my neck and shoulders so I know the pain you are having. I hope you feel better soon.

Even surgery hasn’t helped my neck pain. Just have to live with it and, like you, take the meds when I just can’t stand it anymore.

Oh, that sounds so good! I don’t BLTs very often. Sorry about your neck Juli, I’ve had more shoulder trouble then neck but I know that chronic pain is no fun. Finding relief is a true blessing so whatever it takes do it. Blessings to you my friend.

I went to visit our friend Ms. Ramblin1, she recommended a visit (retweet) to your blog, and then I had to chuckle because I previously tweeted this morning, “You had me when you said bacon.” A play on words from that movie line in Jerry Mcquire, “You had me at hello.” Bacon!!! Woohoo!!!Saturday morning is our bacon and eggs day too…It’s been a cold week for most of America. $$$Global Snowing$$$Glad I came for a visit and some of us older folk are the only ones who have stuck with Spaces.Be well and take good care of your neck…Greg

BACON BACON BACON – makes me think of the commercial with the dog saying "i’d fix it myself if I had thumbs!!" I want you to know that bacon and eggs is the only thing I cook INSIDE our motor home! WHY?? Because I LOVE the smell and taste and even the sound of it cooking!! I am SO with you sister!!
