Am I feeling better? Why yes I am…

Last Thursday I went to the Tummy Dr. We had a nice chat. The first thing she decided to do is double up my stomach pills. I can tell you that this has made me feel so much better, by leaps and bounds. That, and the conversation, too.

She said that it’s unlikely that I have either Esophageal or Stomach cancer. Ironically, I’m the wrong age and the wrong sex. Cancer from GERD generally hits men over the age of 55. Furthermore, she said that if I don’t have pre-cancer cells when she does the Endoscopy, then I will likely never develop the disease. I’ve had GERD for 10 years, so if cancer were going to happen, it will have started by now. She was really great about making me feel better.

So… after the Endoscopy, I’ll get another, different, treatment for H. Pylori and then I should be good to go. Apparently, my NP did a non-standard treatment that some strains of H. Pylori are resistant to. Great.

The Endoscopy is set up for August 20th. I’ll go in early and then take the whole day off. I’ll know my results right after she does the test. It sounds like I’m going to be coming on the up side of something, for once. Lucky me!

I itch from head to toe. I’m having an allergic reaction to the soap I used yesterday for my shower. I’m going to go mad. Seriously mad. I get home and I’m going to scrub down everything from my hair right on down to my toes.

Also… why is it that people have to sit in the bathroom and talk on the phone while they’re going? I don’t know how they can go. I can’t go with them talking. So, just to be the brat that I am, I made sure to flush the toilet on her, so that the person she’s talking to would know that she’s on the john talking. Nasty, nasty, nasty….

I got a new Cell phone… I was up for the 2 year upgrade. I got the EnV Touch. I’m happy. It’s as close to the iPhone as I’ll get. I won’t go back to AT&T. They were a nightmare. I like this because they have Visual Voice Mail so I don’t have to listen to my VM, all I have to do is read it. My favorite.

Have a great Monday!

I went through an Endo. It was a breeze. It did show that my esophagus had to be stretched, again a breeze.

Good luck on the Endo. I get one once a year, I have the GERD and everything that goes with it. Yes I am pre-canerous.
