Here it goes, the weather forecast for the Houston area:
And just so you know… we hit 104 yesterday, before the heat index. I heard reports that the head index had it into the 120’s in the sun. Horrible stinkin’ hot!
And if you’re wondering about the heat index, here’s that, too:
Yesterday was terrible. Just the drive from work to home completely zapped me of energy. I just sat and stared at the TV until ‘Wipeout’ came on, and then I just laffed until I cried… Those big red balls are just hysterical… even funnier is the hurdles, these poor people trying to go over and thru hurdles/hoops… It’s something I look forward to every week.
Other news… Toodie has convinced me that I need a hammered dulcimer. So… I go to try a few out this weekend and have my first lesson. We’ll see how it goes and what I’m going to buy. I’ll take photos and keep you posted on everything.
Oh… Doc… yes my anti-haiku cream comes with both sun block and allows the user to be heat resistant…

The Cheorekee used the dulcimer. It is a very old insturment and I got to listen to one while I was in Georgia. I have not heard of anyone using one in recent times. Anxious to hear how it goes….

And I thought I had it bad! lolIt is horrible. I thought we were finally getting rain yesterday, the dark clouds rolled in, thunder could be heard…but nothing.Wipe out is funny, you can’t help but laugh. Good luck with the dulcimer. My daughter can’t afford to buy one but she keeps looking anyway.

Every time I see how hot it is in Texas I quit complaining about the heat here. …Big electric bills, wait till the carbon tax comes on board, I’ve heard about 4-6 times as expensive and Texas has their own grid, independent from rest of the country.

My hubby loves Wipe Out too. It is funny as heck though. I have seen a couple actually get over those balls though. I know I could never do it.I hope the heat breaks soon but they said the south is going to sizzle again today. Try to keep cool kiddo.HugsSherry
