Smells like…

Spring. I walked out doors this morning and took a deep breath… and just smelled the intoxicating odor of lemon trees and jasmine.

Spring has sprung.

I had every intention of sitting out doors and enjoying the day all day long. Except, the neighbor, Red Neck Roy, came out and decided to cut down a tree with his chainsaw.

But before I sat and smelled and listened. It was amazing. I heart the quiet little cheeps of the the female cardinal. The male, some time later, with his bold and loud song. He’s not shy about stating who he is and what he’s lookin’ for. The mourning doves were coo-coo-cooing, they’re made of much quieter stuff.

It was so peaceful and you could feel God right there with you, with his hand on your shoulder.

Now. Doncha wish you were here this morning??? 🙂

I do wish I was there, so much you wouldn’t believe it. It’s zero here right now…yes, you heard right zero…it was eight below when I first got up and spring feels to be a million years away…I hope it’s not going to be one of….those springs. Well, now you painted the picture in my mind…at least that looks and smells like spring!
