I’ve known for some time that I’ve been having some unreasonable responses to some reasonable situations. I’ve been starting to cry a lot at work and I’ve been getting just to this side of hysteria when someone criticizes me. I’ve nearly burst into tears in meetings and deemed people unforgiven for such things as saying the wrong things.
So… I found myself a hypnotist. So far he hasn’t done the “You’re getting very sleepy” thing with me. But, there are various types of hypnosis and behavior modification and I’m a very modifiable girl.
I have had several good days and in fact today saw the greatest change. I went to lift up my fingers to ROOOOAAAARRRRR into an email only to have my hypnotist pop into my minds eye with the thing he did that I totally mis-read right before he walked back into the door and told me the ”only” thing that happened was that he got up, looked at me, went to the door and walked out. And then I laffed and literally said “Dang it, you take all the fun out of EVERYTHING”.
In fact, since he’s requested that I not act like a 14 year old (don’t ask), I’m going to intentionally walk in there and stomp my foot on the ground and tell him that he’s take all the fun out of everything. Oh yeah, I’m not supposed to be making those grand sweeping statements either. 😀 BUT… I am going to respectfully make them! 😉
So, this fella is really freakin’ expensive. And, I think he’s totally worth it. (AND also a very good looking man). So, I get fixed in the head, I look at eye candy and I part with money… this is better than shopping!
And the best part is I get to be me, with out all the crazy emotional responses. Good fun and good work.
