Welcome, 2009!

So, my 2009 started out not so good. I had two glasses of Champagne, of which I paid for dearly. I was up all night with acid reflux, finally sleeping in my recliner (specially bought for such occasions)  and then waking up with a hang over. Yes, two normal glasses of Champagne will do that to me. I love the stuff and it just kicks my butt. This is a prime example as to why I’m a teetotaler!

So I woke up at 11:45 to catch the last few minutes of the Rose parade and then get to watch MSU play pretty poorly here in the Capitol One Bowl in Orlando., although they ARE winning, tho I don’t know why.

Speaking of MSU, many of you know that I love Tattoo’s and my latest came from Splash of Color, right on MSU campus. I did this piece for me; It’s a tribute to Amy Brown, whose work I really enjoy.

Amy Brown-esk Tattoo

This piece is a one of a kind, the artist shredded the outline in front of me, at my request. I don’t want anyone else to have it. A testament to how beautiful and unique this piece is, the guys that work at the studio were coming in to look at the progress and they all said the same thing “WOW! That’s amazing!”. High praise coming from tattoo covered “tuff” guys!

I’ll end here, but wanted to add this: I wish you to be blessed and full of joy and love this 2009. Make good memories and pay good deeds forward. Remember your roots and remember to think of yourself every once in a while. Most of all, in 2009, I wish you peace and love for you and yours.

I loved looking at what you made!! VERY pretty. So soft looking too.I have 2 tiny tattoos. They are no larger than a thumb print. No idea why I did that. Middle aged crazies in my case. :-)

Wow you have had a bad time. I would probably have stood up and said something about the flag being given to the wrong person and I definitely would have asked Aunt Diane what the problem was. She was not helping the situation. I wish you lived closer also. We could have some amazing trail rides and maybe some camping also. I am bound and determined to go back to the beach at least once this year and get Miss Minnie used to it all!!!! Happy 2009 and I am glad you are home where you belong!!!!

Doc gave lots of samples of Prevacid SoluTab (www.prevacid.com) and the tab melts under your tongue fast. Before you can count to 10 the reflux is absolutely gone! great stuff! Maybe your Doc has samples for you to try. The tatoo is very different from what I’ve seen. Very nice. Got a call last night that is bothering the dickens out of me. I can’t wait to get back to work at school. This vacation is too long!! Love ya!

I have GERD and OTC Prilosec works just fine for me. I guess I’m just lucky there, but it took drinking Barium almost upside down and having the esophageal contractions filmed to find out that was all I needed. Actually, I only have to take it once a week or so as I notice an acid taste, and not every day. I knew you liked tattoos, but I had no idea you had any this nice. It’s quite feminine, also, with no daggers, or skulls, or anything leaking blood. I’ve never thought much about getting one myself, but if I did, it would have to be related to something like tectonic plates so as the wrinkles get worse ……. Happy 2009 to you and yours.Peace, Doc

I like color however don’t have any tatoos….fact is I really wanted to go somewhat wild with piercings but thought better of it…now I’m glad. Tattoos bother me a bit because I figure when I’m old it will look pretty bad then again, that does look pretty cool. BTW that’s interesting about the acid reflux, this keeps me tea totaling for the most part too. I was up ’till two last night but mostly that was helping get things ready to celebrate my daughter’s b-day a day late and hitting Rock Band 2 with my kids and laughing until we couldn’t stand up…good times. Bless you my friend.
