Thank you, Soldier. Here’s a Poem for you!

Ballad of a Soldier

I am a soldier. My name is freedom.
I walk in the valley of the shadow of death.
I fear no evil.
I stand for courage, compassion, dignity, and life.

My love is democracy.
I am the light in darkness.
I am the sword of the meek.
I do not hate.

My code is Justice.
I do not pale in the face of danger.
I will not turn a blind eye.
I do not tolerate transgression.

I am an Eagle.
I empower the weak.
I march boldly.
I cry quietly.
I sleep lightly.
I love unconditionally.

Call me in the night,
I will come.
Pray for me in the darkness,
I will bring the lamp.
Whisper my name,
and I will hear.

I am the blood of innocence.
I have not one face, but many.
I am a mother, a father, a son & a daughter.
I am no one and I am everyone.

I am a soldier and Freedom is my name.

About Fizz

*I'm a Northern Girl livin' in the South. *I graduated with a BS in Geophysics from Michigan Technological University (MTU). *I have critters: 2 dogs & 1 cat. *I love thunder and rain days. Too much sunshine gets on my nerves. (How I survive in Texas I do not know!) *I'm trying to remove swearing from my vocabulary (Good Luck!). *I'm the last single in my group of friends. The rest of the turn coats got married. *Sadly, the above friends are now procreating. Now the world will have yet more strange and twisted individuals that will have to go to an Engineering School to survive. *Yoopers do exist. Look on a map. *Marvin the Martian and I have a lot in common. We're both cranky when crossed and generally like our own way. *I will never be a model! (Thank god, that starvation stuff has GOT to be painful!!!). *I am not Fat! (Even though that little voice behind my right ear might tell me that every single day). *I am normal. Whatever that means! *Yes, you can be smart and not be a geek. *I've been told I'm not boring. We'll see. *Much to my irritation, I have been described as Eccentric. *I cannot spell! *Being Single is a frame of mind. *Who said life was fair?

Thank you sweetie!!  Whenever I am hurting (I have good days and not so good days) I remember why and it makes me feel better!!  I am NOT a hero!  Just a man who did what needed being done.  I have no regrets.

    Thank You again.

Very Nice, we can’t forget the soldiers with the holidays coming and they are so far away from their families.
All my used laptops were dells and the PC I had was a dell. I had a gateway PC once and would never get another, but I like dell.
Hugs to you and Papa :)

We are OK!!  Even with a wet bandana around where I breathe (my neck) I am still having breathing problems and have a splitting headache.  It will pass!
