Windows Live! Messenger Beta

I’ve been using the Windows Live! Messenger Beta for about a week now, and I have to say I like it. A lot.

They have this thing called a “wee mee”,which is much like an avatar. It’s Charlie brown cute. The image I’m using of me right now is my new Wee-Mee.

Some of the changes I like are with regard to the look and feel. They’ve rounded out the edges and made it more user friendly. The skins are easier to find.

The best new feature is the scrolling “What’s New” which shows me the what’s new for all of my blogging buddies. So, I can see what you’re up to!

Anyway, I like it and i”m using it so I thought I would brag it up. I know Stephen is a Beta tester, so maybe he’s using this too.

About Fizz

*I'm a Northern Girl livin' in the South. *I graduated with a BS in Geophysics from Michigan Technological University (MTU). *I have critters: 2 dogs & 1 cat. *I love thunder and rain days. Too much sunshine gets on my nerves. (How I survive in Texas I do not know!) *I'm trying to remove swearing from my vocabulary (Good Luck!). *I'm the last single in my group of friends. The rest of the turn coats got married. *Sadly, the above friends are now procreating. Now the world will have yet more strange and twisted individuals that will have to go to an Engineering School to survive. *Yoopers do exist. Look on a map. *Marvin the Martian and I have a lot in common. We're both cranky when crossed and generally like our own way. *I will never be a model! (Thank god, that starvation stuff has GOT to be painful!!!). *I am not Fat! (Even though that little voice behind my right ear might tell me that every single day). *I am normal. Whatever that means! *Yes, you can be smart and not be a geek. *I've been told I'm not boring. We'll see. *Much to my irritation, I have been described as Eccentric. *I cannot spell! *Being Single is a frame of mind. *Who said life was fair?

Many have griped about MSN Messeger but I like it a lot…I’ve been messing around with some scripts and such that do things like change my icon as often as I want…now it’s sort of a slide show which is really fun and a countdown timer that I can set for whenever I want…fun stuff…anyway all that said just to say I agree with you.

    Dear Fizz –
Oh you know I’m using the beta’s – I haven’t logged into MS private beta site in a while and have just been beta testing the stuff given out to the general public. Without sounding like a MS nerd, they do have some neat applications and the improvements are quite noteable. I’m glad you are enjoying testing yourself – the stuff the public gets usually has a lot of the bugs worked out of them so MS doesn’t get hammered with support requests. LOL
Hope you have a FABULOUS week my friend!!!  :-)
    Warmly –

IM’ing only seemed to get me into trouble.  It played a large role in the Great Web War Debacle of a year ago and I haven’t used it since.  Yeah.  I know.  But I am a curmudgeon.Peace, Doc
