5 days & still no power!

first… Thank you all for your comments. They mean so much to me. I cant even tell you how much they help when we are so far from normal. I miss normal. Tho, i am fortunate. My friend has neither water & elect. And wont for an estimated 3 to 4 weeks. She is living half in her daughter house. Not much u can do w/ 2 really large dogs.

we are fine. I am fine. I will carry on with my head up. I will not fuss about that which i cannot control. No sense in wasting the energy.
sending u all much love… Fizz

About Fizz

*I'm a Northern Girl livin' in the South. *I graduated with a BS in Geophysics from Michigan Technological University (MTU). *I have critters: 2 dogs & 1 cat. *I love thunder and rain days. Too much sunshine gets on my nerves. (How I survive in Texas I do not know!) *I'm trying to remove swearing from my vocabulary (Good Luck!). *I'm the last single in my group of friends. The rest of the turn coats got married. *Sadly, the above friends are now procreating. Now the world will have yet more strange and twisted individuals that will have to go to an Engineering School to survive. *Yoopers do exist. Look on a map. *Marvin the Martian and I have a lot in common. We're both cranky when crossed and generally like our own way. *I will never be a model! (Thank god, that starvation stuff has GOT to be painful!!!). *I am not Fat! (Even though that little voice behind my right ear might tell me that every single day). *I am normal. Whatever that means! *Yes, you can be smart and not be a geek. *I've been told I'm not boring. We'll see. *Much to my irritation, I have been described as Eccentric. *I cannot spell! *Being Single is a frame of mind. *Who said life was fair?

As one who’s been through the no-electricity drill, I can say that it seems like forever. Your lifestyle changes. For example, no late nights. I got plenty of sleep. Afterwords, when it came back on, I missed those early to bed nights. :)

I think the hardest part – besides bathing – was doing the laundry. I was ill at the time and hubby had to cart the laundry basket to the laundromat; then wait around for it to wash & dry; then bring it back home. It took me back to the early days of my first marriage when we didn’t own a washer or dryer. Yuck.

Are you able to get to the store yet?

Hello Sunshine, Pappa and doggies!    I’m sending lots of love and prayers your way.  I hope that you continue to find normal things in this very un normal time.  So did the workplace get hit hard as well?  Are they up and running?   Do they want all employees stinky (w/o showers) or not to drive and put in their time?   Why wont you come home?  Bring Papa too!  He’ll love to make snowmen again.  I just wouldn’t mention naked snow angels to him just yet.  Take care ttfn
