Yes… I am concerned about Ike. He is turning out to be one heck of a storm. I don’t like this "waiting to die" business. At least with a tornado it’s mostly spontaneous and I’m used to Blizzards and know what to do.
We are prepared. We have a generator and it was tested to be up and running yesterday. We have all of the cords at hand to plug in the Fridge and some fans… they are most important as it’s going to be freaking hot if we lose power for long.
Papa is getting the last minutes now: Bread, Milk and frozen bread (just in case the power is out for longer, we can still make bread).
Tomorrow I will not be at work. We will be drilling blankets over all of the front windows. Should the wind get bad and the windows break, we will be safe from flying glass.
I feel the need to make sure that everything is tied down and Papa will need help with the big patio table.
I’m sure well be fine. We’re ready and from what I understand, if you have a generator you’re golden. We have a generator, so live will be a little easier if disaster hits.
And… you know me, I’ll get video if I can!
I’ll keep you posted!
